May 6, 2016 day 5 of my Camino takes me from Muruzabal to Villatuerta traveling through Puenta la Reina. The landscape is very senic here and the trail is good. In Villatuerta I stayed at Albergue Villatuerta:

That evening provided one of the more interesting snoring stories from the odessy. A young woman from England absolutly couldn't tolerant any snoring and would jump up, run over to the snorer's bed and poke them. When she poked me as someone else snored I exclaimed "It's not me!" The next morning we found her red eyed in the lobby telling us she was checking into a hotel and planned to sleep for 24 hours.
Once again I've attached two videos depicting this part of the Camino:

May 5, 2016 day four of my Camino takes me from Pamplona to Muruzabal and the Albergue El Jardin de Muruzabal: https://alberguejardindemuruzabal.com

A highlight of the day and the Camino for that matter was the Pilgrims Monument.

Day 3 of My Camino took me from Zubiri to Pamplona. Along the way we happened upon "The Abbey" an old Church that a young man and his wife had purchased from the diocese after a three year negotiation. They had decided after walking the Camino that they wanted to settle along the Camino. When I asked if he planned to restore the building as a Church, he discretly answered "You need to understand that before the building was a church it was a fort."

That evening Rod and Lee joined their wives for dinner and a ride to their Albergue on the far side of Pamplona. Carol and I stayed in Pamplona at:

After checking in we strolled the city and enjoyed a dinner of Tappas or were they pintxos?
at one of the oldest bars on the main square.

Along the way Lee, Rod & I happened upon a fruit stand and the vendor. He recognized Lee's Vietnam Veteran's cap and a lively discussion followed. Rod and Lee are from Minnesota and met in college where they were on the wrestling team. It turns out that Rod and I would walk the entire Camino together. Lee had planned to spend just two weeks with Rod.

My second day on the Camino, May 3, 2016, took me from Roncevaux to Zubiri. For some reason I have no pictures of my own from that day and can't remember why. I suspect that the first day's drain on my phone's battery not to mention my own rendered use both marginal.
I have attachedtwo videos depicting that part of the Camino:

My first day on the Camino, my 72nd birthday, dawned sunny and bright and was pronounced "Perfect" by my fellow veteran Pilgrim starting his 16th Camino. I choose the Route Napoleon the more difficult route to Roncesvalles and started out on what would prove to be a most difficult 10 hour day. I have attached a link to a slide show depicting the route:

After trying to register at the hotel: http://www.hotelroncesvalles.com/#home.html
I eventually found my way to the Albergue and my bed for the night:

I arrived in Saint Jean Pied de Port Sunday evening May 1, 2016 and found lodging at the Beilari Albergue http://www.beilari.info/en . Later I enjoyed a delightful dinner and met several of my fellow Pilgrims. One was set to begin his 16th Camino the next morning. When I asked his advice on doing the Camino he replied, "go slow".
