May 12, 2016 my 11th day on the Camino took me from Belorado to Burgos by Bus and then on foot to Rabe de las Calzadas where I stayed at Albergue Liberanos. Upon waking in Belorado I was confronted by rain and I had read that the journey into Burgos would be flat, along the highway, and could be boring. In fact my guide suggested that if there ever was a section to skip this would be the one. Since I hadn't had a rest day and didn't fancey crossing and recrossing a super Highway in the rain. I "hopped on a bus Gus" and for less than 4 euros was transported in dry comfort to Burgos. Once there seeing a Tabac store across the street from the bus station I scored a MonteCristo #2 and went to see the city. I didn't stay long as it was very crowded and after seeing the Cathedral I made my way to the edge of town and beyond. I didn't stop until I made the Albergue: http://www.liberanosdomine.com

Once again I've attached a video of the section I traveled on foot: https://youtu.be/jJ7OZ4SYmNQ

May 11, 2016 my 10th day on the Camino was a beautiful day walking alone and in solitude with a couple of brief encounters with fellow Pilgrims and took me from Santa Domingo de la Calzada to Belorado where I stayed at Pension Caminante:

I arrived late and was happy with a lower bunk. The Albergue had a washing machine and a dryer so I was able to wash all my clothes. A big treat after 10 days with three outfits I was ready for clean clothes.

Once again I've included two videos of this portion of the Camino:

After I settled in and accepted Rod & Lee's invitation to join them and their wives,
Jean and Peggy for dinner in their rented appartment, I went out to explore the town and found myself in the middle of the town's annual festival.

May 9, 2016 my 8th day on the Camino took me from Logrono to Najera. I met Rod and Lee as we were leaving Logrono and we stayed that night at the Municipal Albergue, one of the largest with 90 beds in one room.

May 8, 2016 day 7 of my Camino takes me from Los Arcos to Logrono. Today is my younger brother James birthday and I reflected on the fact that I am following the route of Saint James. I arrived in Logrono late and very tired only to find the Albergues along the route to be "Completo" or full. As I was about to walk out of the far side of the city, I stopped at a small bar and inquired about Hotels in the vacinity. "Right arround the corner", was the answer. 10 Minutes later I was checked in to the NH Collection with a special Pilgrim rate.

How I appreciated that evening's hot bath and opportunity to empty my backpack and reorganize.
